Growth Reaching Africa (GRÁ) is an initiative that invests in education and development for young people, families and communities in rural Kenya. GRA focuses on learning, empowerment and promoting human dignity.
GRÁ is the Gaelic (Irish native language) word for love, which is the foundation of solidarity, development and dignity. GRÁ has several projects in Kenya including GRÁÁ Feeding Programmes; GRÁ Education Programmes; Community Development and Growth; Water Projects and Volunteer Work-camps.
GRÁ Feeding Programmes operate in four schools and are vital at this time as food insecurity and rising food prices threaten life in rural Kenya.
The GRÁ Education Programme continues to expand. Through our Secondary and Third- level Scholarships Programmes, we sponsor young girls and boys to attend and complete secondary school and third level University.
GRÁ runs growth projects including employment schemes, construction projects and community development initiatives. Community participation and cross learning are the cornerstones to GRÁ’s partnerships in Kenya.
GRÁ is determined to continue supporting education and local community development in the coming years but we need your support and help.
